About
Michael Rose is an American actor whose film work includes the award-winning The Great Lillian Hall alongside Jessica Lange and Kathy Bates, A Dark Place opposite Andrew Scott, The 24th, Ride Along 2, and Unthinkable.
On television, he’s known for recurring roles on Bosch: Legacy, Necessary Roughness, House of Lies, and Nashville, and guest appearances on Lovecraft Country, Westworld, and Mad Men. In 2027, he’s appearing in The Challenger (Amazon) and Prison Break (Hulu).
Michael studied Economics and Theatre at the University of Georgia, where he played football until an injury sidelined him. His father, Charlie Rose, was a teacher and coach who played football at Georgia Tech. His mother, Sue Gore, co-founded one of the country’s first HazMat training companies.
After college, he moved to New York to train with Bill Esper and Maggie Flanigan at the William Esper Studio. He met his wife, Nancy Rose, then a producer at Ogilvy, while shooting an American Express commercial in Kenya’s Masai Mara.
